Eva Sakuma
The painter Eva Sakuma is influenced by Japanese culture, which she discovered through her husband. The influences of Japan are not only seen in her paintings, but also in her speech and dress. We took pictures in front of the block of flats where her studio is located. I transferred this unexpected combination of a Czech block of flats and Japanese motifs into my photos and, thanks to the trees in front of the building, captured the play of lights and shadows that is one of the distinctive elements of her paintings.
Malířka Eva Sakuma je ovlivněna japonskou kulturou, ke které se dostala díky svému manželovi. Vlivy Japonska nejsou vidět pouze v jejích obrazech, ale i v jejím projevu a oblékání. Fotily jsme před panelovým domem, ve kterém sídlí její ateliér. Tuto nečekanou kombinaci českého paneláku a japonských motivů jsem přenesla do fotek a díky stromům před domem, zachytila i hru světla a stínu, která je jedním z výrazných prvků i jejích obrazů.
